Jakub's Spring Besídka (play)

Here are links to some poor-quality videos from Jakub's play at school this week.  I blame the cameraman for not thinking ahead to get a better seat for taping her precious son's school play.  Oh well.  I think the grandparents will at least like them enough. :)  He did SO well this time (his first play was at Christmas time and he had only been in school for 6 days).  He knew the words and motions and seemed to have a great time with his friends.  At the end they gave their mommies scarves they had dyed themselves and roses.  My scarf is beautiful and Jakub picked the colors brown and blue for it.  The teachers did an excellent job with these children and we continue to be impressed with them and so thankful for the school.  Jakub has learned so much this semester and has made many good friends.  Of course, his favorite friend at school is Johanka and she's sitting to his right in the videos. :)  His best friend Mikulas is the duck in the video.  Enjoy!

Her First Giggles....

It happened around 9pm so the video is extremely difficult to see, but at least you can hear the precious giggles. :)  It was her first time to truly, repeatedly laugh.  She's had small laughter noises before, but not anything like this.  She is a huge fan of her Daddy and everything he does.  It's so sweet to see.  And hear. :)

Happy 3 months Sofia!

Happy 3 Months Sofia!  You're coming in to a really great age now where you are more awake, alert, and interactive with us.  We love it!  Since I've updated about you recently I'll just add a few new things here:
- We took you for your 3 mo check up yesterday and you did great at the doctor's office!  You were happy and showed off some of your new speaking skills.  The doctor was impressed! :)
- You hold your head up really well now when you spend time on your belly.  You are very strong!
- You weighed 7.0 kg or 15.5 lbs.  You are just slightly bigger than your brother was at this age.  You are strong and healthy and eat really well.  I'm so thankful!
- You are starting to stretch out your night feedings again and last night you had your best night yet- last feeding was 7-8pm and you went to bed at 930pm.  You slept until 6am!  Whoohoo!  I hope you keep it up.  And I hope I can sleep now instead of waking up wondering if you will soon. :)
- Your smile is super big and super sweet and infectious to all those around you.  You get lots of compliments about it.
- You talk the most to your Daddy.  He says you already have a special bond together and when he gets close or holds you, then you start talking up a storm back to him.  It's adorable.
- You haven't learned how to drop off to sleep on your own in your bed yet.  You still want to be held and walked around.  That's ok though.  You'll learn in time and right now we love holding you and snuggling with you. :)
