Back to Sofia. She's 8 months and one week today. We took her last week to the doctor for her check-up and everything went well. We finally have a new pediatrician who will stay at this local office, so hopefully we'll find continuity there now. I'm so thankful the nurse has always stayed through the changing of doctors- she's awesome and knows us well. Sofia weighed in at 10.01 kg, or basically 22 lbs. Wow. :) ( need to measure her again to see how long she is. No problems were found and she's remained healthy with me despite Josh and Jakub both batteling some stronger illnesses lately that have required antibiotics for them both.
She's sleeping well, day and night, and almost always has been (except for occasional teething problems). She continues to take a 2 hour morning nap and 45 min afternoon nap. She sleeps usually from 8pm to 8am with one waking in the night now for a feeding. She eats 3 meals a day now and her favorite foods are listed in the previous post. :)
She LOVES Jakub and watches him or play with him constantly when he's around. She laughs the hardest at him and she loves it when he snuggles close to her face and hugs her or rocks her. He likes it when she's in her walker and he runs from her and makes her chase him around the room. They both crack-up pretty loudly with this game.
She's just started making a "b" sound and trying to blow with her lips, but other than that she still mostly coos and she laughs a lot. She's very peaceful in general, gives very sweet smiles, is mostly gentle with her hands, has a laid-back personality, and doesn't cry or make much noise unless she's falling asleep and her teeth hurt. She doesn't talk much and I look forward one day to hearing some words come out and interacting a little more in this way.
